To that end, the objectives of this study were to examine changes in yields, land use efficiency, soil erosion, irrigation water use, energy use, and greenhouse gas emissions in the production of peanuts in the United States from the years 1980 to 2014. Peanut quality is influenced by a complex web of factors with scales ranging from the molecular to global weather patterns impacting climate.
